SuperNewRoles In-Game Reporting Feature Terms of Use

Operator: SuperNewRoles Development Team (hereinafter referred to as “the Operator”)

Article 1 (Scope)

  1. These Terms set forth the conditions for using the “In-Game Reporting Feature” (hereinafter referred to as “the Feature”) included in the Among Us mod “SuperNewRoles” (hereinafter referred to as “the Mod”).
  2. By using the Feature, the user is deemed to have agreed to these Terms and the “Privacy Policy” separately established by the Operator.

Article 2 (Description of the Feature)

  1. The Feature allows users to send questions, bug reports, requests, and other messages to the Operator from within the Mod, and to receive replies from the Operator.
  2. If Bug Report is selected, operation logs and other information necessary to resolve the issue may be sent automatically.

Article 3 (Important Notice: Submission to External AI Services)

  1. To the extent necessary for operating the Feature (e.g., translation, summarization, classification, duplicate detection, response support, anti-abuse measures, etc.), the Operator may send all or part of the content submitted by users (including body text, titles, accompanying information, logs, etc.) to the following external AI services:
    • OpenAI
    • Google (Gemini)
    • OpenRouter (content may be forwarded to another model provider via OpenRouter)
  2. Submitted content may be used for training purposes, such as model improvement, depending on each provider’s terms and policies.
  3. Therefore, users must not submit personal information or confidential information.
    Examples: name, address, phone number, email address, school name, social media ID, account ID, password, authentication code, API key, token, etc.
  4. The Operator does not guarantee the confidentiality of submitted content. Users must not submit personal information or confidential information.

Article 4 (Storage on GitHub)

  1. To the extent necessary for operating the Feature, including bug investigation, reproduction, fixes, quality improvement, management, audits, and development records, the Operator may store report contents, logs, related metadata, and similar information on GitHub.
  2. GitHub is a third-party service and may be affected by factors outside the Operator’s control, such as outages, maintenance, specification changes, security incidents, etc.

Article 5 (Prohibited Acts)

Users must not engage in any of the following acts when using the Feature:

  • Sending personal information, confidential information, or information that infringes on a third party’s privacy
  • Sending content involving defamation, discrimination, threats, encouragement of illegal acts, or content contrary to public order and morals
  • Spam, excessive repeated posting, or acts that interfere with the Operator’s operations
  • Unauthorized access to the Feature or related servers, or acts that place excessive load on them
  • Any other acts deemed inappropriate by the Operator

Article 6 (License to Use Submitted Content)

  1. As a general rule, rights to text and other content submitted by users remain with the users.
  2. However, users grant the Operator permission to use such content free of charge, only to the extent necessary for the purposes of providing and operating the Feature, investigating, reproducing, and fixing bugs, improving quality, creating statistics, and responding to inquiries. This use includes reproduction, storage, summarization, translation, classification, and modification.
  3. As a general rule, the Operator will not disclose users’ submitted content to third parties without the users’ consent. However, this does not apply when required by law, or when the content has been statistically processed or generalized in a form that does not identify individuals.

Article 7 (Retention Period)

  1. The Operator may, in principle, retain indefinitely report contents, logs, reply histories, related metadata, and other information obtained through the Feature.
  2. Even if the need for retention no longer exists, immediate deletion may not be possible due to operational or technical reasons, such as backups, audit records, or copies used for failure analysis.

Article 8 (Contact for Deletion and Other Requests)

  1. Users may request deletion, suspension of use, or similar handling of information concerning themselves that is held by the Operator.
  2. For such requests, please contact the Operator through the Official Discord Server.
  3. After reviewing the request, the Operator will consider taking action within a reasonable scope; however, due to the indefinite retention policy and the technical limitations described in the preceding paragraph, the Operator does not guarantee that it will be able to comply.

Article 9 (No Guarantee of Response)

  1. The Operator is not obligated to reply to every report.
  2. It may take time to respond to reports.
  3. When AI assistance, such as translation or summarization, is used, mistranslations, inaccurate summaries, or similar errors may occur.

Article 10 (Changes, Suspension, and Termination of the Feature)

The Operator may change the contents of the Feature, suspend its provision, interrupt it, or terminate it without prior notice.

Article 11 (Disclaimer)

The Operator shall not be liable for any damages incurred by users through use of the Feature, except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence by the Operator.

Article 12 (Changes to These Terms)

The Operator may change these Terms as necessary. The revised Terms will take effect when presented by the method specified by the Operator.
For reports created before changes to these Terms, the Terms in effect before the changes will apply unless there is separate consent.

Article 13 (Governing Law)

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan.

Article 14 (Original Text)

The official text of these Terms shall be the Japanese version. Even if translated versions of these Terms are provided, the Japanese version shall be the original text, and if there is any discrepancy between a translated version and the Japanese version, the Japanese version shall prevail.


SuperNewRoles In-Game Reporting Feature Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Policy sets forth how information concerning users is handled in relation to the Mod’s “In-Game Reporting Feature.”

2. Information Collected

The Operator may collect the following information in order to provide and operate the Feature.

2.1 Information Entered and Submitted by Users

  • Report type, title, body text, additional fields, such as bug report circumstances
  • Contents of communications with the Operator, such as reply history

2.2 Information That May Be Sent Automatically, Especially for Bug Reports

  • Error logs, stack traces, versions of the Mod and the game, some settings information, situational information necessary for reproduction, etc.
  • For bug reports, operation logs and other information necessary to fix the issue may be sent automatically.

2.3 Information That May Be Recorded Through Communications and Operations

  • Send/receive date and time, request information, IP address, etc., for the purpose of preventing abuse, handling failures, and improving quality

3. Purposes of Use

The Operator uses collected information for the following purposes:

  • Providing and operating the Feature, including receiving reports, sending replies, and managing status
  • Investigating, reproducing, and fixing bugs, and improving quality
  • User support, including responding to questions and providing guidance
  • Preventing unauthorized use and nuisance behavior, and ensuring security
  • Creating statistics and analyzing trends in a form that does not identify individuals

4. Storage Location and Infrastructure

  1. Data related to the Feature is stored on Contabo’s Tokyo server in Japan, which is contracted by the Operator.
  2. For purposes such as response speed and security, data may pass through Cloudflare, and some information may be temporarily stored or cached.

5. Third-Party Provision and Outsourcing

The Operator may provide information to, or entrust the handling of information to, the following third parties to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use.

5.1 External AI Providers (OpenAI / Google / OpenRouter)

  • For operational support, the Operator may send submitted content, including body text, accompanying information, logs, etc., to OpenAI / Google (Gemini) / OpenRouter.
  • Submitted content may be used by each provider for training purposes, such as model improvement.
  • Please do not submit personal information or confidential information.

5.2 GitHub (Private Repository)

  • For investigation, reproduction, fixes, quality improvement, and record management, the Operator may store report contents, logs, and similar information on GitHub.
  • GitHub is a third-party service and may be affected by factors outside the Operator’s control.

External AI providers and GitHub may be located outside Japan, and information may be processed or stored outside Japan. The Operator’s managed server is located in Japan.

6. Retention Period (Indefinite in Principle)

The Operator may, in principle, retain indefinitely report contents, logs, reply histories, related metadata, and other information.
