Current Mod Status
- The mod has been rebuilt from the ground up.
- Since all roles have also been remade, there are fewer roles and features than in versions prior to 3.0.0.0.
- We’ll be adding things back gradually, so please be patient.
- If there’s something you absolutely want as soon as possible, please send your request via the official Discord.
⚠ Warning
Creating “redirect lobbies” and joining “redirect lobbies” is prohibited.
What is a “redirect lobby”?
- Among rooms hosted on the official Among Us servers, directing players **to a modded lobby**.
- Examples that fall under this
- You (or someone you know) host a vanilla lobby on the official Among Us servers (Asia/NA/EU) and tell participants the code for a modded lobby.
- You (including an alt account) or someone you know joins a vanilla lobby hosted on the official Among Us servers as a guest and tells participants the code for a modded lobby (i.e., advertises it).
- You or someone you know creates a public/random lobby, or joins one to add people as friends, then invites them to your lobby.
- Examples that are OK
- Posting a room code on X (formerly Twitter) and recruiting players while clearly stating that it’s a modded lobby.
- Sharing a modded lobby code and playing within a Discord server that only includes people you know.
- Posting a room code in an Among Us recruitment Discord server and recruiting players while clearly stating that it’s a modded lobby.
“But then we won’t get enough people, so we want to gather random players!” In that case…
- If you host and make the room public on SuperNewRolesTokyo, the room name will behave like it used to before it became a random name (in other words, the host’s name will be shown as the room name).
Why are redirect lobbies not allowed?
- This is because, based on a notice from Innersloth (the official Among Us developer), we interpret that developers of so-called host-based mods (including SNR) are not allowed to publicly host modded lobbies on official servers in a way that allows vanilla players to join unconditionally.
- The background, as we understand it, is that vanilla players who don’t know what’s going on may unintentionally enter a modded lobby and play without realizing it’s modded. As a result, they may mistake mod-related issues for bugs in Among Us itself, leading to many inquiries being sent to the official support.
- Innersloth has also issued warnings to prevent “mod experiences that users did not intend.”
- For these reasons, we consider it prohibited to publicly host and share information about unlimited public lobbies that can match with people who don’t even know mods exist.
- Therefore, redirect lobbies are also treated as prohibited behavior.
If everyone thinks “It’s fine if it’s just me lol,” it can add up—and in the worst case, it wouldn’t be surprising if all mods ended up being banned. We sincerely ask for your cooperation.
