Current Status of the MOD
- The MOD has been completely remade from scratch.
- Since all roles have also been remade, there are fewer roles and features than in versions prior to 3.0.0.0.
- We will continue adding them gradually, so please be patient.
- If there is something you really want added as soon as possible, please send your request via the official Discord.
⚠ Warning
Creating redirect lobbies or joining redirect lobbies is prohibited.
What is a redirect lobby?
- A lobby created on the official Among Us servers for the purpose of directing players to a modded lobby.
- Examples that apply
- You or someone you know hosts a vanilla lobby on the official Among Us servers (Asia / North America / Europe) and tells participants the code for a modded lobby.
- You, your alternate account, or someone you know joins a vanilla lobby on the official Among Us servers as a guest and tells participants the code for a modded lobby, effectively advertising it.
- You or someone you know creates a public lobby, or joins a public lobby, befriends players, and then invites them to another lobby.
- Examples that are allowed
- Posting a room code on X (formerly Twitter) while clearly stating that it is a MOD lobby and recruiting participants there.
- Sharing the room code for a MOD lobby and playing within a Discord server that only includes people you know.
- Posting a room code on an Among Us recruitment Discord server while clearly stating that it is a MOD lobby and recruiting participants there.
- Examples that apply
But if we do that, we can’t get enough people, so we want to invite random players! In that case...
- If you create and publish a lobby on SuperNewRolesTokyo, the lobby name will appear the same way it did before lobby names became randomized—in other words, the host’s name will be displayed as the lobby name.
Why are redirect lobbies prohibited?
- Based on a notice from Innersloth, the official developer of Among Us, we interpret that developers of so-called host-based MODs, including SNR, are prohibited from publishing MOD lobbies on the official servers that vanilla players can join without any conditions.
- As background, we believe this is because vanilla players who knew nothing about MODs unintentionally joined MOD lobbies, played without realizing they were MOD lobbies, mistook MOD-related issues for problems with Among Us itself, and as a result, many inquiries were sent to the official support channels.
- Innersloth has also warned against situations where users have an “unintended mod experience.”
- For these reasons, we consider it prohibited to publish or provide information about unrestricted public lobbies where people who do not know about the existence of MODs may also be matched.
- Therefore, redirect lobbies are also considered prohibited behavior.
If everyone thinks “it’s fine if it’s just me lol,” it could build up to a worst-case scenario where all MODs end up being banned, so we sincerely ask for your cooperation.
