Orpheus
Faction
- Impostor Faction
Role Description
- Active Ability: Revive
- If an Impostor dies while at least one Orpheus is alive, that player is registered as a revival candidate.
- The normal body that remains during the task phase immediately after death is not a valid revival target. Starting after the next meeting ends, a “ritual body” with a visual effect will appear at a random location on the map.
- Using the “Revive” button near a ritual body makes the body disappear and reserves the revival. A special message will be displayed during the next meeting, and after that meeting ends, the player will be revived with their original Impostor role.
- The Revive button can be used when Orpheus is within the distance at which a normal body could be reported and there are no walls or similar obstacles blocking the way.
Ritual Body Appearance and Disappearance
- Each time a meeting ends, the old ritual body disappears and reappears at a different random location. This repeats for the number of times set by “Number of Turns Ritual Bodies Appear.”
- With the default value of 2 turns, the ritual body appears twice: once after the first meeting following the death, and once after the next meeting. After the following meeting ends, the player is removed from the revival candidates.
- If the original body is reported before the first ritual body appears, the player is removed from the revival candidates.
- If a ritual body is reported, any further reappearances and revival are also canceled from that meeting onward.
- If the target body is eaten by a Vulture, the player is also removed from the revival candidates.
- If no Orpheus is alive when a meeting ends, all candidates who have not yet had their revival reserved disappear. If a revival has already been reserved, that player will be revived after that meeting ends.
Report Distance and Revival Distance
- “Ritual Body Report Distance Multiplier” applies only to the distance from which players can report ritual bodies.
- This multiplier does not apply to the distance required to use the Revive button. Instead, Orpheus’s normal report distance is used. As a result, depending on the settings, Orpheus may be able to revive from a distance where reporting is not possible.
When There Are Multiple Orpheuses
- Ritual bodies and revival candidates are shared by all Orpheuses, and any Orpheus can reserve a revival.
- Dead players who still have a chance to be revived cannot check other roles or voting targets from the ghost world until they are either revived or removed from the candidates.
