server-code-of-conduct
SuperNewRoles Custom Server Code of Conduct
On custom servers operated by SuperNewRoles (such as Tokyo and US-East), we have established the following Code of Conduct so that all players can enjoy Among Us and SuperNewRoles safely.
Please follow this Code of Conduct, be considerate of other players, and play responsibly.
Even if this Code of Conduct is translated into other languages, any action taken will be based on the original Japanese version.
If you wish to engage in conduct that deviates from this Code of Conduct, please operate your own custom server.
Scope
Public lobbies are places that anyone can join from within the game. The administration will address conduct that violates this Code of Conduct.
A “public lobby” refers to any room that has been made public even once after its creation. Even if it is made private again afterward, that room will still be treated as a public lobby.
Private lobbies belong to their hosts. If players are recruited through Discord, X (formerly Twitter), or similar platforms, you can make your own judgment as to whether the host is trustworthy. For inappropriate player behavior in private lobbies, the host should make a judgment and kick or block players as necessary. Players should only join rooms hosted by people they trust.
Therefore, all provisions other than those listed below apply only to public lobbies.
- Cheating, unauthorized manipulation, or server disruption (2)
- Disclosure or solicitation of personal information, etc. (6)
- Impersonation of administrators or others (8)
- Abuse of the reporting feature (9)
- Circumventing usage restrictions such as bans (10)
- Conduct that interferes with the normal operation of the server (11)
It is not realistic for us to review every report from private lobbies.
However, if conduct falling under the above categories is confirmed, we may take action even in private lobbies.
If you have an objection to a restriction, please contact us through the Official Discord.
For information on the handling of identification IDs and chat logs, please see the Privacy Policy.
1. Do not create rooms for purposes other than playing the game.
Let’s play Among Us!
It is prohibited to continuously create rooms solely for unrelated chatting or rooms with no intention of starting a game.
If you would like to chat, please use a chat tool such as Discord.
Normal conversation before and after games, as well as casual conversation related to Among Us, is allowed.
2. Do not cheat or engage in unauthorized manipulation.
Using cheat tools or similar means to gain an advantage through methods not possible in normal gameplay is prohibited.
Intentionally interfering with the normal operation of the game or server is also prohibited.
This includes conduct such as:
- Forcibly disconnecting other players (excluding kicks or blocks by the host)
- Intentionally interfering with the normal operation of servers or rooms
- Exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities to disrupt other players or for similar purposes
When using a client other than one officially released by SuperNewRoles (for example, a personally modified version of SuperNewRoles), ensure that participating players can recognize this before joining the room.
In public lobbies, notify everyone in a way they can recognize before joining, such as by stating it in the room name. If this cannot be communicated, do not use non-official clients in public lobbies.
In private lobbies, notify participating players in advance.
However, providing notice does not permit modifications or methods of use that negatively affect other players or the server.
3. Do not intentionally disrupt games.
Conduct that prevents other players from enjoying the game normally is prohibited.
Examples include:
- Occupying a room for an extended period without any intention of progressing the game
- Repeatedly interfering with other players’ gameplay
- Intentionally preventing a game from functioning by disregarding the game rules or room policy
- Throwing the game to harass others
- Any other conduct that intentionally interferes with normal game progression
This does not apply to normal conduct, such as actions taken as part of in-game strategy.
4. Do not obtain or share in-game information through unauthorized means.
In Among Us, obtaining information externally that you would not normally be able to know significantly harms the fairness of the game.
Therefore, the following conduct is prohibited:
- Joining the same game while watching another player’s stream
- Using external voice calls or similar means to convey in-game information that should not normally be shared
- Improperly obtaining or sharing information through screen sharing or similar means
This does not apply to lobbies where voice chat, proximity chat, watching external calls or streams together, or similar activities are part of the game rules.
In public lobbies, these rules must be presented in a way that players can recognize, such as in the room name or in an explanation before the game starts.
In private lobbies, follow the host’s policy.
5. Do not make inappropriate remarks or insult or harass other players.
Sexual content and conduct intended to attack or make other players uncomfortable are prohibited.
This includes the following remarks and conduct.
Sexual content:
- Remarks containing sexual content or sexual jokes
- Explicit remarks about sexual acts
- Explicit remarks about sexual physical characteristics
- Sexual remarks or teasing directed at other players
- Names or chat messages containing sexual content
- Any other sexual or explicit expression deemed inappropriate for a public setting
Abusive language and harassment:
- Abusive language or insults
- Persistent taunting or provocation
- Ongoing harassment directed at a specific player
- Discriminatory remarks
- Remarks intentionally intended to hurt other players
- Threatening remarks
- Any other conduct that causes significant discomfort to other players
Even if censorship, slang, euphemisms, or similar wording is used, it will be treated in the same manner if the substance is effectively the same.
However, expressions normally used in the context of Among Us gameplay, such as “kill,” “body,” and “kill,” are not prohibited.
This does not prohibit normal in-game discussion or ordinary exchanges regarding wins and losses.
However, even in-game discussions may violate this Code of Conduct if they escalate into personal attacks or similar conduct.
6. Do not disclose or request personal information.
Do not disclose your own or another person’s personal information in places accessible to an unspecified number of people.
Attempting to obtain personal information from other players is also prohibited.
Personal information includes, for example:
- Real name
- Address
- Phone number
- School name
- Workplace
- Any other information that could lead to the identification of an individual
Disclosing another person’s personal information without their permission may be treated as a particularly serious violation, even in private lobbies.
Sending Discord friend requests or exchanging contact information in-game does not by itself constitute requesting personal information. Please follow the host’s policy.
7. Do not spam.
Spam that interferes with other players’ use of chat or in-game features is prohibited.
Examples include:
- Repeatedly sending the same content
- Sending large amounts of meaningless text
- Repeatedly posting messages with the purpose of disrupting other players’ conversations
- Excessively disruptive behavior using in-game features
Consecutive messages sent as part of normal conversation are not a problem.
8. Do not impersonate others.
Conduct that causes others to mistake you for another player, a SuperNewRoles developer, an administrator, or anyone else is prohibited.
This includes using names, profiles, or similar means to make others believe you are another person.
In particular, pretending to be an administrator to direct other players or spread false information is prohibited.
However, this is not a problem if it is clearly presented as roleplay and can reasonably be understood as such by everyone involved.
9. Do not abuse the reporting feature.
Legitimate reports when you find violations are welcome.
However, abuse of the reporting feature, including the following, is prohibited:
- Filing a false report while knowing that no violation has occurred
- Repeatedly reporting the same person for the purpose of harassment
- Calling on other players to submit false reports
There is no problem with submitting a report when you are unsure how to judge a situation.
10. Do not circumvent usage restrictions such as bans.
If you receive a ban or another usage restriction, using another account or similar means to circumvent the restriction is prohibited.
If you have an objection to a restriction, please contact us through the Official Discord.
If circumvention of a usage restriction is confirmed, additional action may be taken.
11. Do not engage in any other conduct that seriously inconveniences other players or the server.
Even if conduct is not specifically described in this Code of Conduct, conduct that seriously inconveniences other players in public lobbies is prohibited.
Conduct that interferes with the normal operation of the server is prohibited regardless of whether the lobby is public or private.
The fact that something is not listed in these rules does not mean that clearly disruptive conduct is allowed.
The administration will determine whether conduct constitutes a violation after considering factors such as the nature, intent, impact, and repetition of the conduct.
12. If you violate the Code of Conduct
If a violation of the Code of Conduct is confirmed, we may take measures such as warnings, server usage restrictions, or bans depending on the nature of the violation, previous violations, and other factors.
For serious violations, usage may be restricted without prior warning.
If you have an objection to a restriction, please contact us through the Official Discord.
The contents of this Code of Conduct may be changed depending on server operating conditions and other circumstances.
Please also strictly comply with the Among Us Code of Conduct.
For information on the handling of identification IDs and chat logs, please see the Privacy Policy.
Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 29, 2026
Operator: SuperNewRoles Development Team (hereinafter, “we,” “us,” or “the Administration”)
This policy establishes how player identification information, chats, reports, blocks, and similar data are handled on official custom servers operated by SuperNewRoles (such as Tokyo and US-East).
By using an official custom server, you are deemed to have agreed to this policy and the Code of Conduct on this page.
In-game reports sent to developers through the email icon are outside the scope of this policy. For their handling, please see the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for the In-Game Reporting Feature.
Optional analytics data submission is also a separate feature from this policy.
Use by Minors
Persons under the age of 13 may not use official custom servers.
As we have no means of verifying age, we assume that users are at least 13 years old when using the service.
If we determine that a user is under 13, we will restrict their use and endeavor to delete stored data relating to that player.
Information We Collect
Identification ID (When Joining)
When creating or joining a room on an official custom server, we collect an identification ID derived from a key generated on your device.
This identification ID is not the Among Us Friend Code itself. The private key is stored on your device, while the public key and signature are sent to the server. The identification ID used internally by the Administration is a value calculated from the public key.
We may also associate the following information with it:
- In-game name
- The code and region of the room joined
- Whether the player is the host
- Agreement status for the Code of Conduct
- A hash of the source IP address (the raw IP address itself is not stored in the identity system)
Chat
To review report contents and investigate violations of the Code of Conduct, we retain in-game chats on official custom servers.
Stored content includes the date and time of the message, room code, region, identification ID, in-game name, message content, and similar information.
This information is retained for the periods described below and then deleted.
Reports, Blocks, and Usage Restrictions
- Reports: Identification IDs and in-game names of the reporter and reported player, room code, category, comments, and attached chat logs
- Blocks: Identification IDs, names, and optional notes of both the player who blocked and the player who was blocked
- Usage restrictions such as bans: Identification ID of the subject, reason, duration, and related records
Purposes of Use
We use collected information for the following purposes:
- Providing official custom servers and determining whether players may join rooms
- Enforcing the Code of Conduct on this page; reviewing reports; issuing warnings, usage restrictions, and bans; and preserving related evidence
- Providing the block feature (processing to prevent certain players from joining the same room)
- Addressing misuse, impersonation, ban evasion, and server disruption
- Responding to inquiries and appeals
- Understanding operational conditions in a manner that does not identify individuals
Retention Periods
- In-game chats on official custom servers are deleted approximately 90 days after collection.
- Chats attached to reports are retained for review. If they do not result in a usage restriction such as a ban, they are deleted 90 days after collection, in the same manner as ordinary chats.
- Chats and report records that form the basis for usage restrictions such as bans are retained indefinitely for evidence preservation, responding to appeals, and preventing recurrence.
- Identification IDs, consent status, blocks, and records of usage restrictions such as bans are retained for as long as necessary for secure server operation and preventing recurrence.
- If use by a person under 13 is discovered, we will endeavor to delete stored data relating to that player. However, this excludes information that must be retained for secure operation, such as records of usage restrictions.
Who Can View Information / Third Parties
Full chat logs and identification IDs are not visible to other players. They may only be viewed by the Administration and personnel responsible for the administration interface used for review.
Information that a new report has been submitted may be shared with administrative notifications on the Official Discord to the extent necessary, including the reported player’s name, reporter’s name, room, category, and comments. These notifications do not include internal identification IDs or full chat logs.
As described in MOD Official Custom Servers, the processing servers for official custom servers are located both within and outside Japan (including US-East). The identity system that manages identification IDs and similar information processes and stores data in Japan.
Requests for Deletion, Suspension of Use, etc.
You may request deletion, suspension of use, or similar action regarding information about yourself held by the Administration.
To make a request, please contact us through the Official Discord.
After reviewing your request, we will respond within the scope required by applicable laws. However, records of usage restrictions such as bans and the chats forming their basis, information contained in reports by other players, and copies in backups may not be deleted immediately.

We may change this policy as necessary. Changes will take effect when they are presented by the method determined by the Administration.
