Role Usage Examples
### Use the ability to hijack the Sheriff and make someone appear black or white
- Preconditions:
> - 1. If the Sheriff targets an Impostor-faction player for a kill, the Sheriff can kill that target.
> - 2. If the Sheriff targets a Crewmate-faction player for a kill, the Sheriff commits suicide.
> - 3. Impostors cannot target fellow Impostors for a kill.
- How to use the ability - Kill ability (using [Precondition: a]; can kill all non-crew roles) - Take advantage of the Sheriff’s ability to kill non-crew roles to perform a kill and **make the target look “black” (suspicious)**.
- Suicide ability (using [Precondition: b]) - By committing suicide, you can make players within the kill-button’s range check appear “white” (cleared). - **If you commit suicide in front of a fellow Impostor**, you die, but you can **make it look like “your teammate is white (innocent)”**. - **If you commit suicide in front of a player who presented information favorable to the Impostor faction**, you can **make it look like “that player is white, and the information they provided is correct.”** - If the player who provided Impostor-favorable information is not a Mad role, then even if their information later falls apart, the only ones who can directly conclude (by reversal) that they are black are that player and you (who are already dead), so it does not directly affect the other Impostors.
- Differences from other Impostors when pretending to be the Sheriff - **Other Impostors** who only have a kill ability: if the Sheriff designates **a fellow Impostor** as the execution target, then due to [Precondition: c], they **cannot comply with the instruction in terms of ability mechanics**. - **The Suicide Wisher**, when the Sheriff designates **a fellow Impostor** as the execution target, can **replicate the Sheriff’s behavior via the suicide ability**, and therefore **can comply with the instruction mechanically**.
