Role Description
- Active Ability: Web
- Can place traps on the map.
- A trap takes n seconds to become active after being placed.
- If anyone other than an Impostor steps on the trap, they become unable to move. From the Spider’s perspective (the one who placed it), the screen glows red and an arrow appears indicating the target.
- If the Spider kills a crewmate caught in their own trap, the next kill cooldown becomes n seconds.
- While inactive, traps are visible only to the Impostor team; once triggered, they become visible to everyone.
- Intended so that even third parties can tell someone got caught.
- Traps do not disappear over time/turns.
- The idea is that the later the game goes, the more valuable the restraint and kill-cooldown reduction become, making comebacks easier.
- A triggered trap disappears when the trapped crewmate dies, after a configured number of seconds, or when a meeting starts.
- Normal kills are still possible; traps are meant to be an optional tool that provides extra benefit when used well.
