Star
Faction
- Crewmate faction
Role Description
- Passive Ability 1: Charisma
-
During the task phase and meeting phase, the names of crewmates who have the Star role are displayed in the Star role color from everyone’s perspective as well.
> - If the [Keep name color as Star even if the role changes] setting is OFF, or if there are no roles with sidekick-type abilities (Note 1), then:
> Anyone with this role becomes confirmed innocent.
> - If [Keep name color as Star even if the role changes] is ON, and there is a role with a sidekick-type ability, then:
> A player with this role is not necessarily always confirmed innocent. -
Passive Ability 2: Overflowing Radiance
- During the task phase, each time the kill cooldown elapses, everyone’s screen glows yellow.
- If the kill cooldown is 5 seconds or less, it glows every 5 seconds instead of every time the kill cooldown elapses.
Overflowing Radiance — Detailed Usage
- About the mismatch on Airship between the time until the kill cooldown fully charges and the glow timing
> - The reference time (0 seconds) is set at **spawn selection**, not at respawn.
> - The kill cooldown countdown starts at **respawn**.
> - Because the countdown start timing differs, the glow can occur before the kill cooldown is fully charged.
> - After a meeting ends →
Spawn selection (Star glow timer countdown starts) →
Respawn (ability timer countdown starts)
> - In exchange, there is **no variation between players due to respawn speed**, and it becomes possible to **build a timeline based on “when the glow occurred”** for deduction and discussion.
- Relationship with **[Keep name color as Star even if the role changes]**
> - **When enabled**
> - Even after the Star is sidekicked, etc., and their role changes, the **ability continues**.
> - Whether the glow ends upon death is judged the same way as for Star.
> - **When disabled**
> - After the Star is sidekicked, etc., and their role changes, the **ability will no longer activate**.
> - This is treated not as “death,” but as **“the Star no longer exists.”**
- **Does the screen glow only while alive? (meeting update)**
> - **When enabled**
> - It will stop glowing starting from the meeting **after** the Star dies.
> - It does not “immediately stop glowing as soon as death happens,” but rather,
> “glowing stops from the meeting after the turn in which the Star died.”
> - This is **not** a setting meant to communicate that a confirmed innocent has died.
> - **When disabled**
> - The glow continues even after the Star dies.
> - If **[Keep name color as Star even if the role changes]** is disabled and the Star is sidekicked:
> - Since it is treated not as “the Star died” but as “**the Star does not exist**,”
> the glow stops **regardless of whether the former Star is alive or dead**.
